Dear Friends,

         On behalf of the scientific committee, I feel extremely privileged to extend all the delegates/ students a cordial invitation for the Golden Jubilee conference of AIOTA OTICON 2013. The theme for the conference is “Research Informed Occupational Therapy in Health Care”. The objective of the theme is to enhance Evidence Based Occupational Therapy practice both in clinical and academic fields. We hope that Occupational Therapists as well as allied health professionals from world wide would share their research experience and knowledge on this platform. 

         We welcome as many as scientific papers/exhibits to be presented in the conference and make the scientific sessions a grand success.

OTICON 2013 campaign at SRM College of Occupational Therapy, Kattankulathur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

On 17^th Sept 2012, Mr. Joseph Sunny & Mr. Phinoj K Abraham conducted OTICON 2013 campaign at SRM College of Occupational Therapy to officially invite the students and staffs from the institute for the event. We got a very warm welcome and encouragement from the Dean – Mr. Suresh D, & all other respected staffs of SRM College of OT 

Dean Sir gave us a good opportunity to invite & interact with the students of SRM by allowing us to do a presentation on OTICON 2013 followed by an interaction section with the OT students. The students showed so much enthusiasm in the event and they agree to do the host program in the Competitive cultural event program-“Rainbow”- on the second day of the conference. 

We also requested for sponsorship from the concerned authority. The Dean of the SRM College of OT assured all the help & support for the conference. After the meeting we again had a small meeting with the OT students from Kerala. We explained in detail about the various events in the conference, the kind support we are expecting from them, the necessity of finding good sponsors etc… the students were really supportive and ensured all help from their side for the conference.

Overall it was a positive memorable campaign. We thanks all the staffs & students who supported & encouraged in the campaign.

We are extremely happy to announce that our conference website www.oticon2013.com is inaugurated by Mrs. Sujata Missal, HOD, KMCH College of Occupational Therapy, Coimbatore. 

This website enable the conference delegate’s to know the various details about OTICON 2013 – The Golden Jubilee National Conference of Occupational Therapy in India. This site will allow you to register yourself for the conference through ONLINE mode (ONLINE REGISTRATION). This is the first time in the history of OTICON we are having a provision for ‘Online Registration’. Online Registration will not only help you to save your valuable time, but also helps you to receive frequent updates about the conference via SMS to your mobile.

Provision of OFFLINE REGISTRATION (i.e., by sending the DD of prescribed amount to the conference secretariat) also exists. People who wish to do offline registration can also register their names in the website so that you will be getting frequent updates about the conference via SMS to your mobile.

We developed the site in approximately ~ 60 days, thanks in part to using an eight-week agile, iterative development process by Mirth Solutions – Our Web Developers (http://mirthsolutions.com/). We welcome feedback and hope you enjoy the site.

On 12^th July 2012, Mr. Joseph Sunny & Mr. Phinoj K Abraham visited KMCH College of Occupational Therapy to officially invite the students and staffs from the institute for OTICON 2013. We got a very warm welcome and encouragement from from the Principal – Mrs. Sujata Missal, Vice Principal Mr. Praveen & all other respected staffs of KMCH College of OT

 Principle mam gave us a wonderful platform to invite & interact with the students of KMCH by allowing us to do a presentation on OTICON 2013 followed by an interaction section with the OT students of KMCH. The students showed so much enthusiasm in the event and they agree to do the host program in the Noncompetitive cultural event program –“Anandam”- on the first day of conference.
